The PCT

For the past decade, I’ve had a big dream. And in 20 days, that big dream will become a big reality. In 20 days, these adventure kids (now full-grown adventure humans) will take on their greatest quest to date. I’m beyond stoked to officially share that my brother Josh and I, as well as a few other radical dirtbags, are taking on the full thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. Miles on miles on miles (2,650 to be exact) of glorious outdoor escapades.

In short, we’re going to be walking a heckuva lot over the next six months. We will be taking off from the Southern terminus at the California/Mexico border, heading north, trekking through the desert, mountains, bear country, and beyond through Oregon and Washington all the way to the Canadian border.

To say I’m stoked is an understatement. This is something I’ve wanted for so long and it’s wild to think it’s finally happening. This will be the hardest thing I’ve ever done but I’m here for it. The dirt, the wind, the rain, the rattlesnakes, the snow, the sore muscles, the marmots, the blistering sun, the bears, the successes, the failures. I want it all. I’m on the precipice of my dream and I’m so pumped to see it coming to fruition.

I can’t wait to spend quality time walking with one of my very favorite humans. Josh, thank you for taking this crazy leap with me. I’m so pumped to hang out with you, walk farther than we’ve ever walked, eat our weight in mac n’ cheese, make excessive amounts of dad jokes, and brew some sunrise coffee at the peak of Mt. Whitney.

Here’s to a life worth living. To chasing your dreams, taking big risks, making mistakes, and laughing the whole way.
